Senior Associate | Port Meadow Consulting
Port Meadow Consulting is led by Bev Jones. It is a small group of practitioners with both “years and youth” to offer. It provides the nuts and bolts of in-the-field engagement with people, drawing on a range of disciplines to help individuals and teams to:

-
get to grips with the contexts in which they are working;
-
reconcile their ambitions with complex reality and competing motivations of different people and groups;
-
identify and navigate the available space for engagement and influence; and
-
convert all this into practical plans that can be adjusted in response to dynamic and unpredictable environments.

Port Meadow consulting think it is important to initiate its own work too – putting its money where its mouth is. In 2021, at the height of the Ethiopia civil and regional war, PMC used its networks in Rwanda to support an Ethiopian Tigrayan organisation to start Helpful Active Listening circles for women who had been the targets of systemic and militarised sexual violence.
As with KDP’s links to Katonte Healthcare Programme, Port Meadow gave funds and raised funds, providing input and moral support – and is now looking to see how this work might expand, including into economic areas.
